Steve Penglase - director
A founding partner in 1989, Steve’s experience and expertise is predominantly in the residential and heritage areas though more recently he has become involved in educational projects and ecologically sustainable design. Steve focuses on practicality in built outcomes with an emphasis on good detailing for long term low maintenance without compromising architectural design.
As an active Director, Steve takes a major role in decision making and management in the firm and embraces the long term growth of Swanbury Penglase with office expansion in recent years both nationally and internationally.
Steve is the consummate home renovator, spending all his spare time (and what’s left of his money) renovating yet another house. After four houses (number four still awaiting completion) Steve is starting to feel a bit worn out from all the hard work. To recuperate, he enjoys a glass or three of wine, usually in the comfort of his mid-renovation home.
