This contemporary residence is nestled on a narrow block in a varied inner city streetscape of villas, bungalows, 1980′s style townhouses and 1990′s residences.
Due to the east-west orientation of the block, the residence has been positioned to maximise the northern aspect of the site. This coupled with natural cross ventilation (utilising louvres), rainwater harvesting, appropriate roof overhangs for shading and a low water usage garden demonstrate principles in ecologically sustainable design.
The open and glazed living pavilion is linked to the master retreat via a glazed walkway / study. Raised timber decks provide a connection of the outdoor and indoor living spaces which utilises the lap pool as a backdrop to the outdoor space.
