The original house was built in the early 1960s, adopting a simple boomerang design with a skillion roof.
Purchased in its original condition, it required full updating and extensions to accommodate a family of four.
The challenge was to retain some of the original interesting finishes and yet convert it to a contemporary, contextually appealing family home.
An upper level was added, spearing the house into two separate zones. A new curved roof and lightweight upper level complemented with open external decks took advantage of the extensive views and converted this house into a contemporary residence defying its age.
