The Renmark Club has been a focal point for the local community since 1908 and the redevelopment of the building and adjoining areas is in part to celebrate the centenary of the club.
The brief from the client required an enlarged function/dining area and bar, greater access and usable external spaces maximising the river views. The concept developed is a simple sweeping curved roof towering over the fully glazed space, which is in turn anchored on the southern facade (new entry) with rammed earth walls constructed from local sand.
The internal spaces can be divided into several different configurations allowing the client flexibility for functions. These spaces are closely linked with the external plaza allowing the spaces to be extended if need be.
